Move your day-to-day Intune administration from Silverlight to the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center. In addition, Intune will end the Intune Storage Add-On licensing offer which was only used for app storage in Silverlight. This retirement includes ending support for the Silverlight console configured PC software client (also known as the PC agent) used for Windows PC management. Microsoft Intune will retire support for the Silverlight-based Intune console on October 15, 2020.
#Remove silverlight from windows 10 update
We'll continue to update this post as needed. Today, we're posting a message in the message center to all customers who have PC's managed using the PC software client or the Storage Add-On licensing offer. Here's the original post from last October. Please do keep in mind there's been 4 M365 Message Center posts and 2 emails about this end of service. Move these PCs to MDM management, or if they are on Windows 7, upgrade them to Windows 10. Once you’re off legacy PC management, you can get all the benefits of modern, secure management with Intune including additional Windows 10 management, Win32 app management using the Intune Management Extension, security baselines, and App Protection Policies. As we’ve shared in MC193258, MC206392, and MC213747 – Intune announced retirement of legacy PC management and the Silverlight-based Intune console effective October 15, 2020. The Silverlight-based classic Intune portal is no longer available and all remaining PC software clients are being uninstalled automatically.Īs communicated in: MC222228, this is your final service announcement on this change.
